I raise Nepenthes (pitcher plants). I feed them tropical fish food and protein pellets. They are an amazing example of adaptive evolution. All nutrients via the pitcher which produces digestive juices. In fact if you fertilize the sphagnum moss that they grow in they will die.
I have one of those! Why do they die if you fertilize the moss – too much nitrogen it can’t use?
