That yellow sky in some of the early pictures is extraordinary. Was a storm coming? The Internet says it could also be due to dust or pollen.

No storm those days; it happens quite a bit at sunrise but it only lasts a few minutes so you have to catch it just right. There may well be pollen releases early on – sometimes you can see the puff of pollen like smoke suddenly coing from certain pine trees etc. But I’m not sure if it gets the whole sky.

Pollen at sunrise in early summer seems to be plausible based on the first few google links, but I don’t know how to confirm. Very pretty either way!

    Hi Mike,

I wonder if it is possible to train mormyrid dolphins (these are not true dolphins) to detect bioelectronic signatures of cancer? They use electroception to perceive the electrical fields of objects and organisms around them. Or, conceivably, make a piece of biotechnology that uses their mormyromasts and knonellorgans to detect the bioelectric fields of organisms for some purpose beyond mormyrid electroception and electrocommunication?

    Best of wishes and warmth,

    A
